The College of Engineering Hosts the 1st AAU CTF 2024

The College of Engineering at Al Ain University (Abu Dhabi campus) organized an event for the Cybersecurity Students entitled "1st AAU CTF (Catch the Flag) 2024".
This event was divided in to two phases: the CTF workshop in January 23, 2024 to make sure that the students have the enough background to engage in the second phase, which is the CTF competition that took place in the 1st of February 2024.
Both events were organized by Jumaa Alhameli - a Cybersecurity student and moderated by Dr. Bayan Abu Shawar and Eng. Rima Masri. This CTF created a special experience by setting up virtual challenges that covering pentesting machines, web applications, and cryptography. The event was designed to test students’ cybersecurity skills, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork.
This event provided students the opportunity to showcase their talents and compete against their peers in a fun and challenging environment including 14 teams (2 students in each team) participated in the competition and 3 winner teams were announced as the following: Kenan Hassan and Razan Habrah in the first place, Omar Khalailah and Hamza Salem in the second place, Yazan Aiman and Yahya Jaballa in the third place.
