CoP students visit “Gulfood Conference” and Future Foods

Faculty members and students from the College of Pharmacy, Nutrition, and Dietetics programs at the Al Ain and Abu Dhabi campuses participated in a visit to the “Gulfood Conference,” held in Dubai. This event provided a valuable experience for food science and nutrition students, offering them a unique opportunity to learn more about producing various healthy food products and understanding industry manufacturing practices. During the visit, students also toured the Gulfood exhibition locations, observing how different food products are developed and evaluated using various subjective and objective techniques. They also attended the “Future Foods Conference". This event brought together over 700 senior stakeholders from more than 40 countries to discuss the future of food in the industry. This year’s forum highlighted UAE food varieties, offering an immersive experience focused on innovation, technology, and sustainability. The visit provided a valuable opportunity for food science and nutrition students to learn about producing various healthy food products and gain insight into manufacturing and food sustainability practices. During the visit, students toured conference venues, observed developing and evaluating food products using various subjective and objective techniques, and attended multiple sessions focused on food security and sustainability.
